Glad to hear it was hard for someone el...Hi Shari,<br /><br />Glad to hear it was hard for someone else to wait for the grandbaby too!!<br /><br />When I took the doors off, I left the holes because I thought I might want to adjust the shelves someday. Another thing I want to do is open a closet in the hall directly across from the kitchen and make a bigger buttery there. If I do that, I will need to put the doors back on the open cabinets to hide dry goods and who knows what height I would need then. They aren't that noticeable with the things I have on the shelves. Fixed shelves would definitely be the best look if I knew it was permanent.<br /><br />I guess either you like oak or you don't, and I don't. Especially this dated look. I haven't liked these since the day we moved in here 23 years ago. LOL And mine aren't that nice in person. But they are staying this way .. FOR NOW !
