After Christmas 2020

 Wow! It's been years since I have posted here...ran across it, looking for something else. What a year it has been. Lots of things have changed...I would like to start blogging again, just for myself, if need be. 

 I have almost retired from crafting. I lost my Mom in October and haven't had much interest in anything. If it weren't for a new Granddaughter that arrived in July, I'm not sure where I would be today. 

Maybe, I can write my feelings here and try to move forward to 2021....

Long time gone...

I honestly can't believe it's been since the middle of 2014 since I have posted...I have thought many times that I should pop in and see if anyone is still blogging, but then I get sidetracked and move on to my next project......I am on Facebook daily, but kind of forget about all the blogs that I used to read everyday...

A lot has happened since the last time I was here...still crafting, but have had to downsize my offerings as of late...my arm isn't doing as well as it should and some of the items are too big and heavy for me to handle...There's still lots of prim goodies to see and I'm making new things all the time...

this is one of my new favorites...monogram pillow with patchwork accents and lace...lots of folks like to personalize...another favorite for all....these sitter signs....

 

so cute to tuck in a cupboard or you can hang them if you have a small space that needs just a little something...:)

Sunday morning in June....

It's a beautiful morning in Kernersville today. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. I went out to the patio for my coffee and to look through the new Country Sampler "Prairie Style" magazine. I have to say it's a little different, but I kinda liked it....has anyone else seen it?

My new cast on Wed. was short lived...I had to go back Thurs. night and have fluid drained from my elbow. NO FUN! They wrapped it almost to my wrist and almost to my shoulder...

 

a lot less movement than before...but for only a few days. :)

Wednesday Mornng....

It's a beautiful, sunny morning in K-ville today...woke up early and feel pretty good...Today is the day that I get a new cast...hopefully! If everything is still in place the Dr. is going to make it smaller. and I'm  hoping to be able to do a little more, without a cast up past my elbow. Here's a few things that I have managed to do even with the cast on...

always love Shaker boxes and the sign is a new favorite!

it took me almost all morning, but got 40 Americana themed, rag balls made for a very special customer...

I'm working on a few more signs and trying to figure out a way to turn body parts...can sew ok, but haven't managed a way to turn right side out- little arms and legs...

Happy Memorial Day!

It's been way too long since I have posted, but wanted to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Memorial Day!
It looks like it's going to a beautiful day here in NC... we will be grilling out today for the first time in ages. We eat out so much that it is almost a treat to eat at home...today, it's going to be burgers and grilled squash and zucchini, YUM!
Hubby is on vacation all week and we hope to get a few things done around the house and yard...we have both been so busy for the past 6 months that we have let a lot of things go...and then 3 weeks ago, I broke my arm- so I have really had to let a lot go...4more weeks and the cast comes off. YAY!
Since, I haven't been able to do much, decided to work on my web site and make some changes...stop by if you get a chance. NEW LOOK, NEW HOST and NEW PRODUCTS!

Cold Monday Morning...

Good Morning!

 

Only 16 days left till Christmas!

I'm still working on orders and gifts....can't seem to decide on what to get my hubby and one of the girls...what do you buy for folks that always manage to get what they want or need themselves. I guess I'm just as bad, LOL! Bill has been asking me on a daily basis what I'd like. After 30+ years together, I have all the jewelry, sweaters, sewing machines, cameras that I could possibly need or want for that matter. I did mention a few things around the house that I would like to be replaced or repaired...he just laughs,so I don't really know. Maybe Santa can come up with something. :)

I got up this morning and decided to change my profile pic on Facebook. Bill was looking at the one I had and thought I looked sick..so as I was all bundled up yesterday to leave the house, he snapped a quick pic and thought I should change it. He thinks I'm happier these days and it shows. Who knows? I am feeling better than I have in a while, so maybe it does show.

Anyhow, my point was going to be-I couldn't get the pics to stay where it was supposed to. Facebook was not being very receptive to me wanting to change my pic. Hopefully, it's there now.

Good Morning!

 

Who wants to stay in bed this cold and drippy Sunday? I kind of got spoiled when we went out on Friday night and it was 75 degrees. We saw shorts and flip flops again. Unfortunately, that would not be the case today. Just dreary and 29 degrees~at least we didn't get the ice that was predicted.

The last couple of weeks I have been trying to use up and finish up projects that I have had in my "studio". I had no idea that I had so many items just sitting there in my "To Do" drawer. So, slowly, but surely, here are a few that I finished and have already sold.

 My goal is to have them all finished by 1/1/2014!

Black Friday....

Hey Everybody!

 

I can't believe it's been months since I have posted. Fall came and went and we're on the countdown to
Christmas!

Where does the time go?

 

I have lots and lots to share, but will not do it all today! Just some Family pics from our "Wonderful" Thanksgiving. My oldest daughter, Amity and her husband, David hosted. Their house was all decorated for Christmas and I think she had been cooking for days! The food was amazing, but I didn't take pictures of it...just the folks attending!

 

This is my beautiful, youngest daughter Cait and her husband Marc. They are a great couple and both LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Panthers!

 

 

Here they are with Alex and Miss Elle being silly! Too cute!

 

 

Here's one you don't see very often at all...me and Hubby! He is partiscipating in the "NO SHAVE NOVEMBER" campaign to raise awareness for men's health.

(I am so proud of him for making a statement!)

To tell the truth,  I was very (pleasantly) surprised when I realized it. And the beard is kinda growing on me. Many, many, many years since he has not been clean shaven.

(It really was a great day for us. Can you tell how happy I was?)

Friday's "Doll Deal"

Good Morning Folks!

 

TGIF! I've had a very busy and productive week. But...I must say that I'm kind of looking forward to the week-end. I've had a cut on my hand and a (severely) broken nail that have both gotten infected a bit. I'm happy to say that both are finally getting better. I've had these 2 bandages on my right hand that have affected every thing I've tried to do this week. LOL!

 

Summer vacation is over for Alex and Miss Elle. School started for them on Wednesday. It seems like summer vacation is getting shorter and shorter. Here they are on the front porch of their house. I took pictures of my kids like this and I'm so pleased Am has continued the tradition.

 

They are both so cute and growing up so quickly! They look just like their Mom!
