TuESDaY EVeniNG CriTTer...

Today was one of those super hot Summer days here in NC. I think it was 90 degrees when I got up this morning. I spent the day working on orders and ran to the post office late this afternoon. It was TOO hot to even stop at Walmart on the way home.

My sister called to tell me about her shopping day....she went to Apex to check out Pam's store. Wish I couldv'e gone with her. I'm sure there's lots and lots to see at the Rusty Bucket since I was there. But, anyway...when I was on the phone, I happen to glance out the window and see this!! I ran to get my camera as I think he was posing for me!!

I don't have a clue what it is, but it seemed to enjoy some of the "Greens" outside my front door.

He stayed for several minutes just lookin around. I tried to show him to Ruffie, but the cat never showed any interest at all. Believe me, this is not the norm for my neighborhood! I WILL pay close attention next time I let Ruffie go outside. This critter had some REALLY nice claws.

Well, I think the thunderstorms are moving in, so until next time.

SAtURdAY in K-ViLLe

It has finally stopped raining and we actually had a nice sunny day! We had several chores around the house and I'm still dealing with the excess inventory from the Antique Marketplace Booth. My dining room has been the storage facility and it's about to drive me crazy! There's still tons of "stuff" and I don't have any extra room to store it all. Come Tuesday, I'm taking another load to Walnut Cove and see if I can get a few more things in my booth there.

ThURsDAY TrAVELS.....and FriDAy FiNDS

Kind of a dreary day for us in K-ville today! I had several errands including a trip back to Just Plain Country in Walnut Cove. I was going to add some lattice to my booth there, but couldn't find anyone that would cut it in half for me and I can't get a full sheet in my car. So, I guess I'll have to come up with PLAN B.

Since I first sat down here several hours ago, it has rained and rained. I think the forecast is for rain for most of FRIDAY. I'm thinkin' I might just stay close to home tomorrow. This has been such a busy week for me and I have accomplished alot, so maybe I'll just leisurely work on a few orders and clean my house a bit...

FRIDAY

I have a few pictures to share.... including this crock filled with beautiful geraniums! These are SOOOO realistic, but I don't have to water them! I think they'll like living in my Dining Room....

I couldn't pass up this little crow hanger thingy.

He's so cute hanging from a little wrought iron hook along with my baskets...........

These fabulous herbs are perfect for my burgandy jug that sits on the floor in my bedroom, along with a sampler....

And my most favorite thing from Thursday's outing is this sifter thingy with a stitck. I originally thought it would fit over my Atrium doors in my breakfast nook, but it's too big....now I have to rethink where to put it.....it's over 3 feet long.......

Finally, figured out where to put my sifters from a couple of weeks ago.........in my kitchen where my Saltbox house wreath used to be.....

Got the end of my hallway pretty much like I want it....still looking for a little lamp to use as a nite lite.........love my shaker boxes and chair.

Gonna wash my kitchen floor so I won't have to do it tomorrow.

MuCH WorK on WedNEsDAy....

Okay, on to other things............this is one of the things that I made today. I would love to get it on my web site, but I don't have a clue what to call it. Any ideas??? It is really kinda cool. I saw one similiar hanging near a fireplace, but you could hang it anywhere.

Also, I made this the other day and stained it today. My sister wanted one so I thought I would give it a shot. It pretty neat too. I think I'll call this a "Standing Towel Bar". Perfect for a tea towel or just a piece of homespun. A jar candle would be nice with it or grungy tapers, maybe.

Whew!! Finally finished up this order that I have been working on (off and on) for over a week! I have to say, everything looks so GOOD! You know how sometimes things just work out and fall into place....this was one of those times.

It's June 1st and everything around my yard is SOOOOOOOOO green! Our yard looks great and the trees & bushes are so nice this year, full of birds!

Almost time to re-do the front porch for Summer.........

Thought I would share the last of my pansys....they'll be gone soon. It's supposed to be in the 90's this week. I've been waiting to plant my Summer flowers. Just didn't have the heart to dig these up.

They have been so pretty and colorful! One of my favorites!
