Another Snowy Friday................

I can't believe another week has shot by...between Drs.appointments (mine and going with my Mom and Dad), my niece having her twins, Saydee and Sawyer to go along with ShyAnn and Skyler (all S's, six letters and all have a Y, cute huh?) working on orders, picking up supplies and making a trip on Thursday to Pilot Mountain and Fancy Gap.....and to top it off we are supposed to get another significant amount of SNOW this weekend.
It's barely 7:00 here and the grass is covered, but none on the sidewalk or streets. They (don't exactly know who they are???) decided earlier today to close schools 2 hours early and cancel evening activities all around the Triad. We went out to dinner beause I was afraid we'd be stuck in the house all weekend. There were lots of folks out and about, even in the pouring Snow. I'll post some pics tomorrow.......

 First of all, Tammy has some great things in the Peddler Store at Pilot Mountain. Here's a few things that I forgot to share last time I was there.
This great little candleholder...

Rusty hanging candleholder....

Wall or lap quilt, Jackson not included....and not to forget Jake

Aren't they getting big???

~~~~~~~~~
I found this on Thursday as well...at one of the Antique stores.
I couldn't resist it. It has a heart logo on it....
~~~~~~~~~~

Then on to Fancy Gap to take this....

If any of you guys are near Crockett's Country Store, it is well worth the drive! Right now, they have a huge selection of braided rugs, enamelware (ON SALE) and little kitchen table sets. The store is decorated for Valentine's Day and looks great!!! Betty and Dan are always there to answer questions and offer plenty of decorating ideas!!
I got these few things while I was there....

I'll show you soon where the enamelware strainer is going. Love, love, love these little bunches of flowers. The leaves remind me of fun foam that my kids used to play with. The label is going on a large jar my Mom saved for me.
~~~~~~~~~~
I didn't realize this was going to be so long. Just a couple more things and then I'm off to finish a project.
I put a few new things on my web site yesterday and I am so excited!!! I sold three of these almost as soon as I got it on there. Turned out really CUTE!!!
Accessories shown are not included...
and have already sold one of these
Round table bench/riser..........
Stay warm and safe. I'll be back soon with some other projects.......
Shari
~~~~~~~~~~

Hubby put my craft table together (it was actually quite simple) and I think that I am going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It's the perfect height ( and it's adjustable) to cut out fabric and for me paint and tea-dye! Yipee! Finally, I can keep most of my projects in my "studio". In the coming days, I will show what I've done in there. It's really coming along. Just trying to organize all the supplies to make (my) life easier!

I have a few things left to do, so I'll be back soon!

KinDa LAzY SaTuRdAY....

Everyday this past week was so busy for me that I decided to do as little as possible today. I didn't even want to go out to breakfast. Stayed in my jammies until 9:00, made some sausage and eggs and proceeded to find something to watch on TV. BIG shocker!! Nothing and I do mean nothing on TV to spark my interest. So I decided to think about making a pork roast in my crock pot. I have been wanting to make BAR-B-Q for a long time and today was the day. I must say it turned out pretty fabulous!! But, we have enough to feed a small army! LOL! Maybe I can freeze some of it.
Okay on to better things.......

This is a set of crocks that I bought from a street vendor last weekend....Not sure exactly where they will end up, but they are very nice quality and will be great to add to my collection.......

Also, found this jug in Pilot Mountain last weekend too. It is much larger than it looks in the picture. Found a matching vase too. I'm thinking they might be nice in my bedroom...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another one of my tweaking days resulted in this.......re-did this wall last week. I added some samplers and I made the checkerboard to fit the space. I am REALLY happy with the way it looks now. It has been hard to get the desired look with the cathedral ceiling, but everyone has commented how much they like it this way. I also took down my quilt from the rack and added a couple new things, including the runner from Crockett's Store.
I made a new round table "topper" from patchwork and new pillows for my wing back chairs....very pleased with that look as well. As soon as I can decide on some fabric, I'm covering my lampshades. I covered one in my dining room and I still like it so that's a plus.
Next, we have my fireplace...I have been racking my brain for something a little different for the Spring/Summer. Decided that I really like the greenery in my wire basket. I think I will re-paint my kneeling bench tho, in a burgandy or mustard color. It doesn't show up as well as I would like for it to.
Finally got my lids made for the crocks that I want to use for trash and recycling in my kitchen. It has been weeks since I bought the crocks, but I haven't had a chance to look for wood. I ended up buying 2 pieces of 24 x 24 oak something or another. It was really easy to cut and they turned out SOOOO nice, but I didn't get them painted yet.....maybe tomorrow!
I have sat here way longer than I intended to...more pictures to follow in the coming days.
So until next time.
Hugs,
Shari
AnOThER beautiful day in the neighborhood....
Happy Tuesday, Y'all!
Another Spring-like day in K-ville! I just love it...I get so much done on days like this. I had several projects in the garage and outside today. The perfect day to paint, a little harder to stay in and sew.
I have a couple things to share........I have added several new goodies to my web site today. One in particular is a gathering with several different prim items. A terrific buy at $ 16.99!
Also, there's a few things that I picked up from my booth in Walnut Cove. Christmas items, but truly bargain priced! You can find them here:
Gotta run for now, but I'll be back soon!
Until then.
Hugs,
Shari
My breakfast nook table setting..................
My table bench on my breakfast room table. Today, I painted the rustic brown coffee pot a nice black satin finish. I filled the pot with tapestry colored pip berries and added a rusty star cookie cutter on the handle. The mini homespun quilt is one I made a few weeks back. The yo-yo quilt I made years and years ago. The shaker box, candleholder and the grungy heart were in other locations throughout my house. I love the way this looks all grouped together. Now all I need is a new light over my table. Wonder if you could get black spray paint to stay on brass???
I also made the cutest sheep bowl fillers today. Hopefully, they'll be on my web site later. I have a feeling these will be a big hit. You get 5 to a set and they are so prim and grungy.....
A few more things to do and I'll be done for the day.
Until next time.
Friday Favorite Finds
This is one of my most favorite finds!
This vintage bread box was another great piece found by my Mom & Dad at a yard sale or thrift store. I had to re-do it in my color to match my kitchen, but it was time well spent! I had to strip it down, paint it burgandy, sand it & antique it to look old. That wasn't an easy task with the louvered door. It looks fabulous sitting in the corner with some other handmades.
The glass behive jar is actually a really cool oil lamp. The olde crowe is one of my creations, as is the heart quilt & shelf sitter blocks. The metal embossed square came a vender in Walnut Cove. I love the way it all goes together.
That's it for today...TGIF!!
Hugs,
Shari
