Friday Special....

Happy HOT Friday to you all!!

Is it hot everywhere like it is here in NC? It IS so hot that the news media and officials are warning people to be careful  and have safe (cool) places set up for activities that have to take place outside. Hopefully, it's supposed to cool off next week a little bit.

This is today's special over at my web site. Sorry it has taken me so long to get posted today. I had a few issues with blogger and signing on. But, for now all is well...

Web Site Special..............

HAPPY SUNDAY Y'ALL!
Another beautiful day for us in NC....no rain or snow. We actually cooked out on the grill today. Hubby made sirloin kabobs with peppers and onions, one of my favorites. It has been ages since it has been nice enough to be outside cooking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hubby was busy today, mainly doing stuff for me....he also worked on my computer almost all day. It has been sick for weeks.  Hopefully, the problem is now resolved. It is no FUN when you can't do what you need to and have to worry about it dying in the middle of something. It seems to be working great this evening! Keeping my fingers crossed!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I worked on a new checkerboard and got it on my web site and piddled around with a few things for orders and some things for Spring. My heart just wasn't in it today, so I made my list for tomorrow and will play catch-up then.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week's web site special is this wonderful little Prairie Dress!!
Only $7.99 for a limited time!
You can find it here:
This is the checkerboard I made today:
Hope you guys had a great weekend...
Be back soon.
BuSy, BUsY,BuSY....
As it turned out....I spent most of the day sewing! I had several Prairie Dresses and Dusting Caps that I needed to make up for orders.
The little dress I made specially for me...hanging on kitchen side of dining room door...
These are so cute! I'm making one for myself to hang in my bedroom, maybe on one of the bedpost???
~~~~~~~~~~

After having a conversation with a dear friend of mine...I have decided today that I am adding a new category on my web site. It will be for goodies (mostly wood pieces) that I happen to find and re-do, strictly one of a kind items. Look for it soon!!

~~~~~~~~~~
And lastly, a few things that I'll be taking to Just Plain Country in Walnut Cove
I really needed to make some signs for there. I hardly had any left, plus I'm working on a few more things. Probably won't get over there until Friday afternoon........
~~~~~~~~~~

Don't forget! Getting close to my 200th post, but you have the rest of the month to enter.

See ya soon!

WeDNeSdaY is the BiG day...

What a difference one day makes.....Monday was definitely a stay at home day, but it wasn't too bad today. I stayed in much of the day, but this afternoon, I had a few errands to do. Cait was here, so we went out and did our thing. It was fun spending time with her today. We hardly ever have any time just the two of us. (She has found a new job and will be starting soon. I'll share more of that at another time.)

I worked on orders bright and early this morning and then decided to re-do the little dress that I offer on my web site. It's still very similar, but I felt I needed to change it a bit. The skirt part is much longer, the hanger is now a stick and there's only one button on the shortened bodice. I am pleased with the changes....it's quite grungy and prim, perfect for a peg or nail.

Grungy tea dyed muslin Prairie Dress is about 27 inches long.

Tomorrow, we ( meaning Retha, Deb and me) are moving into our booth at the Antique Market Place! I am very anxious about it...there's a lot riding on this for me. This is what I have been waiting on for sooooo long and now we're finally doing it! I'm hoping that we can get a lot done tomorrow, but it will take several days to get it like we want.

I also have to run to Walnut Cove sometime before Friday. They want us all to come and straighten our booths and pick up the Christmas items that we have. I was there the day before the collapse, so I shouldn't need to do much, except pick up the Seasonal and maybe drop off a few Springy items.

I'll be back soon, but until next time.

Hugs and Blessings,

Shari
