Feeling like FALL.......

I think FALL is finally trying to arrive in K-ville! It actually has cooled off and it just feels like Fall is close by. Personally, I like the cooler days...it has been so hot here this summer. It's nice to see folks bringing out their Fall decor and pumpkins. For a while there, I thought no one else was going to....

I decided the other day to cut up one of my quilts to make some things. I had pondered for months on what to make out of it....wanted to have a plan before I cut it. Finally decided on a few pin keeps, pillows and a few new things.

Last week, I got around to making this bear....I have been wanting to make one for ages and just never got around to it. I found this piece of plush felt that I have moved around to several different houses and decided it was time. The pattern is from Sweet Meadows Farm...I realize that mine looks different than the pattern, but I think he's pretty cool anyway....

I made his legs floppy so he could be posed in different positions. There's another one in the works...just needs eyes. I'll share him later.

More patterns for sale.......

It's Tuesday already and I can barely remember what happened to Monday...I've only got a few minutes as I am making dinner. Hot boiled shrimp with drawn butter and cocktail sauce, baked potatoes and a sliced iceberg lettuce salad with grape tomatoes, fresh cucumber and green pepper (hubby's new favorite salad). I bought a couple of cake slices for dessert, but I'm not sure if we'll eat them.

Okay on to the business at hand.......

I bought these from some one's blog with the intention of making little pantry cakes. I've never gotten around to it and thought maybe someone else might want them to try. These are quite small, I photographed them on a piece of scrapbooking paper, 8.5 x 11, so you could visulize the general size. The small one is about 2.75 inches across. The larger one is about 3.75 inches across.

Is it hot everywhere like it is here in NC? It IS so hot that the news media and officials are warning people to be careful  and have safe (cool) places set up for activities that have to take place outside. Hopefully, it's supposed to cool off next week a little bit.

Good Mornin' !

After many days of warm temperatures, it has turned chilly again! I thought I was going to freeze on Wednesday, had to pull out a turtleneck again. LOL!! Yesterday was warmer, I needed only a cotton sweater. The pollen is not as bad as it has been, tho my car has a slight yellow film. It's 58 degrees now and it's not 8:00 am yet! I'm hoping the sun shines all day....I have several things I need to take outside and paint.

I can only take credit for the bonnet...great gathering!

I made the shelf, plus a few other things...love, love, love the way it looks!

Kneeling bench on a buffet table...great idea! The scallop top peg rack is so prim with the mini shelf, prairie dress, bag, and bonnet. The prim cat is perfect with the rest of the gathering!
