Weekend is almost over........

Good Evening All!

I'm hoping that everyone has had a great weekend! It's such a busy time of year with football games, Fall festivals and Fairs that sometimes we forget to enjoy our 2 days off... It was pretty nice here today, although it was a bit chilly and it actually felt very "FALLISH". It was kind of nice to wear jeans and a jacket when we went out.

I have a picture that I would like to share from my youngest daughters' wedding back in Aug. This is part of my family including my parents on the left, my neices on the right. My older daughter, her husband and my grandchildren, the bride and groom...me and my hubby. It was such a beautiful wedding...even with the thunderstorms that arrived immediately after the ceremony.

Cait chose Purple and Lime Green for the colors. Quite a striking color scheme.

Saturday morning....

Good Saturday Morning!!

It's a beautiful morning in K-ville today! We have plans to work in the yard today...or rather Bill does. I'm still hobbling around, but doing sooooo much better! We had the yard plugged and it's all ready to be seeded and fertilized. He just got home from Lowes and all the supplies are on sale to boot!! YAY!!!

This week, I have made a few things that one of my very good customers has been after me to make for a very, very long time. She hasn't seen these (actually no one has) so I'm a bit anxious to see what you think.

OK, what's your honest opinions?

In case you can't tell, I have added patchwork borders to a bath towel, a hand towel and a washcloth. I thought the washcloth tied up with jute was a nice touch.

Wouldn't these be great with the patchwork toilet set that I make?

I am going to post this before I lose it all. Blogger is giving me fits this morning.

Wednesday evening....

How's everyone today? It was much nicer today with Carolina blue skies.....and just a bit of rain. I was busy all day with two Drs. appointments, shoe shopping, grocery shopping and going out to dinner. I was in and out all day. It's funny on days like this, there doesn't seem to be time to cook, LOL!
I went to my orthopedist today...he doesn't want to see me again for 4 weeks! Yay! My foot is doing much, much better. I have been going for longer periods without my cast around the house. Not comfortable enough to venture out without it, but soon!

Another rainy day in K-ville........

GOOD MORNING!

I woke up bright and early on this first Tuesday of October to another morning of pouring rain...

can you see the little birdbath is full....everything is sooo green tho. Talk about green....take a look at the grass in my back yard.

Here's what's left of our garden. We still have one pepper plant along with some radishes and winter lettuce. Hubby just threw out seeds in there a couple of weeks ago and we already have little leaves popping up.

I have had several special orders lately that I would like to share. These are 2 of my favorites:

This is a huge piece at over 24 inches wide and 12 inches tall and about 8 inches deep. It would be a great piece to use on top of a side table.

And this little step stool. I love them both!

Rainy Monday....

My (way too short) weekend is over and I am back to work on this cloudy, rainy Monday. It would be a great day to curl up in bed with coffee and a good book. But I have too much to do today and must get busy ASAP.
Hubby and I made this and have decided to offer them on my web site. There is a story behind it....we were out and about one Sunday afternoon awhile back and happened across this barn where folks were having a "Barn Sale". We had found a few things to purchase, but nothing that really knocked my socks off. I saw a box hanging on the wall that I loved at first site. The really nice gentleman didn't want to sell it, but he insisted that I copy it. He called his a "Grain Scoop Holder". This is my version of it. Love how it turned out!!!!

Rainy Saturday and Sunday Special....

After spending almost all of yesterday at home, I am ready to get out of the house today. It has rained and rained and rained here. There's a few errands I need to do, including getting some wood and muslin for a few projects. I think we'll do that after breakfast. We are STILL going out every weekend, it's like "our date". Sometimes, I do get tired of it, but we have a great little diner we go to all the time.

My foot is still in the cast after 14 weeks!!!!GRRRRR! I'm supposed to be out of it by Wednesday, but I don't think that's happenening. I have been walking for short periods without my "BOOT", but I am no where ready to walk out in public without it. I am beginning to feel like a wimp...it's been way too long. My independence has disappeared and I've become way too dependent on hubby for things I never thought I would. I must say tho, he has been a huge help to me and he never complains! But, we are both anxious for me to get back to normal.

Is everyone all decorated for FALL? I personally haven't done anything....I might do the porch this week. It's so much work for me to pack up things, just to decorate. I find that year after year I do less and less. It was so much fun when the kids were little and we really celebrated the Seasons, but it's just not the same anymore. Anyone else feel like this? Am I getting old?
