chilly Sunday............

A little bit chilly on this bright, sunny Sunday! But, yesterday was a beautiful day here in NC. We went to my daughter's house to celebrate Alex's birthday. It's hard to believe that he is already six years old! He has gotten so tall in recent weeks and looks more and more like his father.

It was such a nice gathering just for grandparents and great-grandparents. They had the kids over earlier in the day. I took several pictures, but I'm not going to post them here. I'm not as comfortable doing that anymore. They cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill and the food was fabulous. Am had made two cakes, one for the kids that she went all out and decorated and a yummy chocolate one for the adults.

Afterwards, we had to go on a hunt for a new monitor for my computer! Mine died sometime between going out for breakfast and getting ready for the afternoon party. The screen went all white, which I found interesting. No warning or anything!! Now let me tell you, I DO NOT like change!! Bill and I must have gone to six or seven stores looking for a 17" or 19" square type monitor like I had. There's not one to be found!! Everything is widescreen, so I had to settle for one that I am not real happy with at the moment! I probably could have gone on Ebay and found the old style, but hubby says I am going to have to adjust eventually, so I might as well do it now. As of this posting, I really don't care for it....maybe I'll take it back and get a larger one.

I did find one good thing yesterday....after we went to breakfast, we did a little shopping. Just happen to find a new camera that I'm hoping will be just what I needed! It's only 8.2 mega pixels, so hopefully I won't have to re-sie all the pictures for my web site.

I have been wanting one with a lithium battery for ages. The old camera I had would go through batteries so quickly that sometimes I couldn't keep them charged. So I wanted to try something different. We found a fabulous bargain on a Kodak with all accessories AND it's RED! I was so excited to find it. It'll be interesting to see if I can learn to use it like the other one I have. My old one is so old that I have to tape the door shut and jiggle it to get the view finder out. Jackson knocked it out of my hands a couple of weeks ago and broke it. But, it had been a good one for a long, long time.

I have two new specials over at my web site for this week!

Hope you get to learn to like your new monitor...once you see how clear and large everything is you won't want to go back.

Wishing I had a new camera...not sure what one to get though. There are just so many kind on the market now and each one does like ONE THING different than the other making for impossible choices.
Oh are we never happy! LOL

Glad your grandson had a wonderful birthday.

Hopefully you'll adjust to the new monitor in time, and you'll wonder how you ever did without it! ;-)
I just bought a new camera too. My old one was the same as yours with tape and all!
Have a great week.

Prim Blessings,
