Finally back to Blogland....

What a week this has been.... Drs. appointments, snow, surgeries, hubby on vacation again, orders to do, computer issues.....heck,  even the kittens have been sick this week. So glad the first week of March is behind me.

I have lots to catch up on. Haven't been able to post or add things to my site, but I have a few new listings on Etsy.  And sold a few things this week, Yippee! Hope to start doing more there.

I guess the most important thing to announce is:

I've never even heard of that Washington....but they must love prims there. Cathy made her selection of goodies very quickly. And fortunately, I had a couple of things already made up AND in the right colors!! This is what she chose and the package is already on the way to her.

How do you guys do your drawing if you don't use that number generator thingy??? On a daily basis, when I get a comment or email, I write that person's name on a slip of paper and put it in a little basket. ( I also check for new followers and folks that sign my guestbook.) When it comes time for the drawing, I have someone (besides me) pick a name. I give the person three days to get back to me or another name will be picked. This is a rather easy way for me and it seems fair to all.

Beautiful Saturday!!!

Hello all!

I am happy to report that it's a beautiful, sunny day in K-ville! I have spent this morning working on a few orders, but I think I'm going to take a break and run out for a few minutes. It's too nice to stay in all day.

I had a really busy week, but I don't feel like I accomplished a whole lot. I went with my Mom and Dad on Wednesday to Burlington for a minor procedure. I got up at around 4:00 to make sure I was on time. We had to be there by 8:00. It's about 45 minutes to my Mom's and then an hour or so to the clinic where Dad goes to the Dr. It actually went well, but he is still rather uncomfortable today. I almost have to wonder if it wasn't too much for him. We go back on Monday for follow-up.

Web Site Special..............

HAPPY SUNDAY Y'ALL!

Another beautiful day for us in NC....no rain or snow. We actually cooked out on the grill today. Hubby made sirloin kabobs with peppers and onions, one of my favorites. It has been ages since it has been nice enough to be outside cooking.

Hubby was busy today, mainly doing stuff for me....he also worked on my computer almost all day. It has been sick for weeks.  Hopefully, the problem is now resolved. It is no FUN when you can't do what you need to and have to worry about it dying in the middle of something. It seems to be working great this evening! Keeping my fingers crossed!

I worked on a new checkerboard and got it on my web site and piddled around with a few things for orders and some things for Spring. My heart just wasn't in it today, so I made my list for tomorrow and will play catch-up then.

Sunny Saturday.....

I woke up before the worms this morning!! But, now the sun is shining and we're so supposed to have a nice couple of days!! I'm sitting here now listening to the news and they're talking about how it has been SIX weeks since we have had a nice,dry weekend!! They are predicting mid to upper 50's this afternoon!! YIPEE!! Hopefully, I can get out in the garage workshop and work on a few projects!

This morning as I was trying to find something to do (LOL! I have plenty to do, just wasn't really in the mood at 5 am), I was poking around my web site and decided to take a peek at my link exchanges....I haven't paid much attention to them, as of late. Wow! What a shocker!! There are TONS of web sites that I swapped banners with that are no longer in business. I find that to be SO SAD! I worked for a pretty good while and still have lots to remove that are no longer there. If you have a links page, you might want to do the same.

Valentine's Day.....

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

As I sit here on this cold, February day, I am remembering Valentine days over the years. In the beginning, when it was just me and Bill... then later when Amity came along. And then many years later when Cait arrived. I'm trying to remember just how many Valentine Day's we have shared. I'm thinking this is our 34th one together! All the parties, cards, and  dinners are still just as special as the first.

It would be interesting to know how many cards and special Valentine treats I have made over the years. When the girls were in school, it was one of my favorite times to be a part of the Valentine celebration! The little ones were always so cute with their cards and claims of true LOVE.

And now, one of my fondest memories is one of our first together as a married couple....we hardly had money to pay the rent, but on Valentine's Day, here comes Bill with a dozen red roses! At that particular time, you couldn't get roses for less than $50.00 or so. And way back then...$50.00 was a huge amount of money! Needless to say, I was happy and sad at the same time! But then, last year was a special one too! Hubby got me special heart earrings from Kay jewelers...to match the necklace he had gotten me earlier.

But today, after all the holiday celebrations, just being together seems to be enough! I treasure our times with each other. Today, we shared our special breakfast, (as we do most weekends) we have already planned our Valentine dinner of steak, shrimp and fixins. And the best part, Bill is doing most of the cooking!

After trying most of today to make a post, I am sad to report that I am still having a few problems with my computer. Bill has worked on it numerous times and can't pin point the problem. He has found a few things, but nothing major that would cause the problems that I have been having. It takes me forever to do anything. But I keep plugging along.

I have decided to list a few things on Ebay...mainly household items that I have run across while cleaning out my attic, but also a few prim things will be listed as well. Personally, I think it's kinda fun. This is the first of many items that will be going up for auction.

It was much nicer in NC today...sunny and slightly warmer than it has been. We had a little bit of nasty weather on Friday, but it has since cleared up here. I feel so bad for all you folks that have gotten inches and inches of snow!! Personally, I am looking forward to Spring!!! This is the worst Winter we've had in a long time. And we may get more (?) on Tuesday.

GRRRRRRR!!! My computer is STILL acting up!!! Hubby has looked at it a few times and can't seem to find the problem...wanted to get on here real quick for a couple of things.
