Friday Favorite Finds

HAPPY FRIDAY Y'ALL!
It tried to rain almost all day today, but it never really amounted (is this a word?) to anything. I started my day by taking the garbage to the curb for pick-up. It was cold and wet and I really didn't want to participate, but I had so much "stuff" in the garage that Bill doesn't know what stays or what goes. So, it was my job to do it today. And after waiting until the last possible moment, I got everything gathered up and out the door. But, my point is...when I was walking down the drive, I had to stop and listen. There must have been hundreds of birds in my trees. And they were all talking to each other. It would be interesting to hear what kind of story they would tell about a cold, wet Friday! I stood and listened for a few minutes with a smile on my face and then scambered back in my house for another cup of coffee. It was a good start for my day!

This favorite find is a gift more than a find. This little chalkware puppy belonged to my Grandmother (Maw) Maggie Patton. It was hers when she was a little girl and I think it is just fabulous! It is one of a few things that I have of hers. I keep it in my china cabinet, but when I was a little girl it sat on a bookcase along with a lot of other treasures. ( I just didn't realize it at the time. Wish I knew then what I know now and I would have paid more attention! LOL!!)

Almost forgot!! Todays Special on my web site:

Until next time.
Hugs,
Shari

Oh Shari how I can relate to 'not knowing then what I do now' about our families treasures. How many wonderful memories have been tossed away over the years. If only we could go back huh?
Thanks for sharing the adorable little pooch picture.
